IDE Makerbot Replicator 2 & 2X Aluminum Upgrade Z-Axis Z-axis Made in Germany!

- Due to the modified design and the use of cast aluminum, the Z-axis is much stiffer than the original version, which enables almost vibration-free printing and thus higher print quality.

- Enormous time savings: The Z-axis does not warp, thus eliminating the need for constant and time-consuming readjustment/leveling of the build platform.

- The adjustment wheels for leveling the construction platform are large and easy to grip and also self-locking and therefore cannot twist on their own.

- By using precise linear ball bearings and the matching hardened and ground guides, the movement is smooth, without jamming and yet free of play.

All parts required for installation are included, along with detailed, illustrated installation instructions . The conversion may seem relatively extensive at first, but it's actually quite easy for anyone to complete . No modifications to the components of the Makerbot Replicator are required, meaning the printer can be fully disassembled if necessary, but you probably won't want to.

No changes to the firmware or the Makerbot Desktop software are required ; all travel paths remain the same. After the upgrade, you can print as usual—only better.

The IDE Upgrade Z-axis is compatible with the original Replicator 2&2X build platform and of course with our heated IDE Upgrade build platform .
